Blizzard Entertainment has published the latest Patch 12.0.7 hotfixes on July 28, 2026. The updates address specific issues across several areas of World of Warcraft, including Blood Death Knight class talents, Player versus Player user interface displays, and reward systems for World Bosses.
Blood Death Knight Talent Fixes
In the class fixes, Blood Death Knights receive a correction for the Dance of Midnight Apex talent. Prior to the hotfix, a bug caused ranks 2 and 3 of the Dance of Midnight Apex talent to incorrectly increase damage taken by the character. Following the July 28 update, ranks 2 and 3 of the talent now properly decrease damage taken, functioning as intended for the spec.
Player versus Player Trinket Cooldown Display
In Player versus Player combat, developers resolved an issue with crowd control abilities and item displays. Players who used the Undead racial ability Will of the Forsaken to break Mind Control were experiencing a bug where the cooldown on their PvP trinket would fail to show. The update fixes this problem so that trinket cooldowns display correctly after using Will of the Forsaken.
World Boss Loot and Reward Corrections
Finally, two separate bugs were corrected regarding World Boss encounters and World Boss loot distribution. A bug that could prevent alt characters from receiving soulbound items upon defeating the World Boss has been fixed. Additionally, Blizzard resolved a bug where World Boss rewards could include an item unmatched to the player's chosen spec, ensuring future rewards correctly match chosen class specializations.
