Blizzard and Dungeons & Dragons have announced D&D: World of Warcraft, bringing the World of Warcraft universe to tabletop campaigns on November 17, with early access starting November 3. The new tabletop expansion gives players and Dungeon Masters rules and resources to build adventures set in Azeroth.
Tabletop Rules, Subclasses, and Species
This tabletop gameplay expansion adapts all 13 World of Warcraft classes for tabletop play, adding six new subclasses: Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy for Paladins, Demon Hunter for Rangers, Shadow Domain and Discipline Domain for Clerics, and Path of the Elements for Barbarians. It also updates three subclasses: Swashbuckler Rogue, Path of the Spiritual Guardian Barbarian, and Warrior of Mystic Brews Monk.
Players can choose from 16 species, including 11 new additions: Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, Haranir, Mechagnome, Pandaren, Tauren, Troll, Vulpera, and Worgen. Rules are also provided for Dwarf, Elf, Goblin, Human, and Orc species. Starting species choices can award initial Renown Scores with Azeroth factions.
Spells, Bosses, and Reimagined Dungeons
The book includes over 60 new spells such as Rune Strike, Demon Spikes, and Moonfire, alongside more than 25 magic items and over 10 professions. Dungeon Masters gain access to 50+ new monsters and 30 dungeon boss stat blocks. Seven reimagined dungeons are rebuilt for tabletop play: Azjol-Nerub, Blackfathom Deeps, Deadmines, Dire Maul, Onyxia's Lair, Scarlet Monastery, and Shadowfang Keep.
