Curse of Ula’tek Update Arrives August 11 with the Coiled Isle and Season 2

The Curse of Ula’tek content update launches on August 11, bringing champions to a new outdoor zone, the Coiled Isle, located off the east coast of Zul’Aman. The Midnight campaign continues as players join Zul’jarra in pursuing her brother, Zul’jan, uncovering the buried history of the corrupted isle and its venomous environment.

Exploration on the Coiled Isle includes the Vaults of Atal’Utek, featuring rotating public events that lead to boss fights, along with a custom talent tree granting player power and quality-of-life perks such as reduced venom potency. Players can encounter Curse Surges spawning rare elites across five rotating locations, unlocking Cursed Fishing. A local story introduces tortollan sea captain Tokka and his crew. Additionally, new instanced encounters called Lairs evolve world bosses into flexible Mythic fights for 15 to 25 players, complete with summoning stones.

New group content includes the three-boss dungeon Altar of Fangs (available up to Mythic 0 at launch) and three new Delves: The Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle, and Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve. One week later, on August 18, Midnight Season 2 begins. Season 2 unlocks Bountiful Delves beyond Tier 7, the eight-boss Venomous Abyss raid featuring Ula’tek as the final boss, and a new Mythic+ dungeon rotation containing Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, Kings' Rest, Ruby Life Pools, and Temple of Sethraliss.

System improvements feature updates to the Cooldown Manager to track trinkets and potions, ping system enhancements for action bars and unit frames, and healer configurations for Raid Frames. Player housing gains blueprint export, import, saving, and resetting options, along with a Pet Bed decor item allowing noncombat pets to roam using new navigation tech. Four new neighborhood Endeavors arrive for Amani Trolls, Kobolds, Ohn’ahran Centaurs, and Tortollans. Finally, players will join Arator to investigate the Voidspire fallout, the Twilight’s Blade resurgence, and continue the hunt for Xal’atath.
